Ratings & Reviews
Corn, Sweet- Jolly RogerCorn, Sweet- Jolly RogerCo
My first time growing a non F1 corn variety, and wow, I am very pleased with the 'Jolly Roger'. Stunning tall plants that grow up to 2m to 2.5m, not only visually stunning but this variety has very good natural disease and pest resistance. My crop got smashed by aphids and caterpillars yet stayed vigorous. Large to medium sized cobs, with a non-overbearing sweet flavour with a lovely corn taste to it as well, the way corn should be. You won't find that corn taste that in F1 varieties. If your plants are looked after well it will give smaller cobs after the main ones are harvested. 'Jolly Roger' will feature in my summer garden for years to come.
Looking good
Plant grows well , tall and cobs grow good , but lacks the sweetness and flavour of a true sweet corn
