Perennial growing to 60cm. Spreading habit. Bright green leaves with strong scent and refreshing flavour; can be eaten raw or cooked, commonly used in drinks, teas, salads, sauces and as a garnish. Can be grown in containers.

Position: Part or full sun, moist soil -
1 x Sage (Salvia officinalis)
Perennial growing to 45cm. Long velvet-like grey/green leaves that are used to flavour poultry, meat, pasta, soups and stews. Very aromatic. Also has medicinal uses. Attracts bees.

Position: Full sun, well drained soil -
1 x Dill (Anethum graveolens)
Annual growing to 90cm. Aromatic plant with slender stems and delicate aromatic foliage similar to fennel. Leaves are used fresh as a garnish, in salads, dips, and with fish and egg dishes. Seed is used as a spice in tea, bread, soups and preserves.

Aromatic annual growing to 50cm. Large medium-green shiny leaves that are sweeter and milder in flavour than other common varieties. Slow bolting. Can be grown in containers. Can be used fresh or dried.

Position: Full sun, moist well drained soil -
1 x Garlic Chives (Allium tuberosum)
Perennial growing to 50cm. Plants grow in slowly spreading clumps with long green strap-like leaves with white star shaped flowers. Leaves have a mild flavour, somewhat like a cross between regular chives and garlic. Can be eaten raw or cooked; good in salads, sauces, stir-fries and with fish, poultry and egg dishes. Can be grown in containers. Also known as "Chinese chives".

Biennial growing to 50cm. Delicate curly green foliage that has a mild aniseed flavour. Commonly used to flavour soups, poultry, seafood, vegetables, salads and egg dishes. Sometimes referred to as 'Gourmet parsley' and called 'chevril' in French.

Perennial growing to 60cm. Bushy spreading plant with ovate dark green leaves. Leaves are very aromatic and can be used fresh or dried; commonly used in Italian, Greek and Mexican cuisine. Strong peppery flavour. Also has medicinal uses. Sometimes called "The pizza herb".

Perennial growing to 50cm. Bushy upright plant with wrinkled green leaves and small pale yellow flowers. Leaves have a pleasant lemon flavour and are commonly used to flavour summer drinks, teas, desserts and salads. Has many medicinal uses. Can be used in potpourri. Attract bees. Also known as "Bee balm".

1 x Coriander- Slow bolt (Coriandrum sativum)
This variety is slow to bolt and best suited for growing fresh leaves. Annual growing to 50cm. Aromatic plant with bright green leaves that are used fresh in salads or cooked in soups, sauces and chutneys. The dried seeds are used whole or ground as flavouring in both sweet and savory dishes. Coriander also has medicinal uses. Also known as "Chinese parsley" and "Cilantro". Attracts bees.
